nympholepsy, and this is my CDJ. Mostly I use this as a place to dump storyline ideas and keep track of my enormous array of characters, mostly OCs. I've been roleplaying over the internets since I was eleven or twelve; hopefully I have improved since then. I moved to journal-style roleplay in my early teens, running a few Marvel-fandom games on Blurty, Caleida, and Greatestjournal until I made the switch to Livejournal. Lately, I'm on IJ and DW.
I mostly do PSLs because games make me nervous, but I can be convinced to join a game if it's pretty chill. I play het, slash, and femme. These days I'm not so much into the smut and prefer FTB, but I can write scenes out, especially in the beginning to establish the chemistry/dynamic. It just gets a little tedious/boring to write out every single sex scene. I like playing against canon characters in fandom settings, but I like OCs more. The pool of canon characters I play is very small.
I like darker lines and vastly prefer lines/games with a lot of drama over fluff and sweetness. OTOH, I don't really like angst for the sake of angst. I like things to be realistic and have a purpose, which means I prefer playing with people who don't mind research. While I don't like straight historical lines, I do like fantasy.
I don't write filler. If I have a lot to say in a tag, I write it. If I don't, I don't pad it. I don't do minimum or maximum post lengths. I play over AIM or threads; I'm a slow threader but it tends to be more reliable since I keep weird hours. (If you don't see me on AIM for a few days, I'm probably not avoiding you! I can just be hard to catch.)
